Masking Kokeshi

 For both of these cards I used Eclipse Masking Tape on the Kokeshi Dolls Large to allow for the stamping of all the other elements.

I also used Plum Branches, Kokeshi Dolls & Pets, Japanese Fans (Happiness), Bamboo and Happy Birthday from our new clear stamp set Birthday Greetings.

Elvis

 So you've met Elvis and here are couple of cards that Vicky made, she watercoloured both of these.

The fence is made up from strips cut from our Woodgrain background stamp.

 Our original release of Kokeshi Dolls and Pets was so popular we thought we would release a couple more of the dolls but this time we have made them bigger.

Holly Border

Irene Carolan has made this card using our Holly Border as well as a sentiment from our Christmas Sentiments clear stamp set and fir branches from our Bauble Wreath clear stamp set.

Mini Starbook Decoration Instructions

Vicky will be making this in our Hochanda TV show today but here are the instructions in more detail.

You will need:

3 strips of cardstock the width of an A4 sheet (21cm) we used a recycled cream card.

Metallic card cur into 12 squares 3.5cm

Coloured card (we used blue) cut into 12 squares 4.5cm

2" Circle punch to cut 2 circles in same colour cardstock

White or cream cardstock for stamping the 12 Days onto (Versafine Clair is ideal)

Length of ribbon

Score the strips of card at 5cm intervals which will leave a 1cm tab.

Fold into concertina and stick all strips together to make one long strip.

Stamp 12 Days of Christmas Mini and cut out.

Layer these images onto the 3.5cm squares and then the 4.5cm squares and adhere to the concertina strip.

On the reverse of the strip place a piece of double sided tape in the middle of every other square going from top to bottom not side to side.

Starting from the middle of the concertina strip, squeeze the panels together leaving the last 2 unstock and open.

Attach your doubled up ribbon to the 2 circles, you will need to punch a hole in each circle and thread through the ribbon.  For the bottom cirlce you can tie a knot in the bottom of if you would prefer it flat stick the ribbon down and cover with another punched circle.

Position the ribbon inside the open end of the Starbook then attach the final tab and close the last squares.

Pull up the ribbon so the bottom circle is flush with the bottom of the starbook and push down the top circle to side on top of the star book.

It is now ready to hang.

 

Christmas Frames Gatefold Card

I stamped the Christmas Frames onto white card with black ink and then onto black card with white ink (I used the Stazon pigment ink white).

When you look closely at the design you will see some gaps between some of the frames, using a knife I separated the different frames so I could use some of my black frames with the white ones and glued them onto opposite sides of the gatefold card.

The snowflake is Old World Snowflake small on white shrink plastic.

The banner and sentiment is from our Wavy Words clear stamp set.

Christmas Frames Shaker Card

This is the shaker card I made on TV last week using our Old World Snowflakes stamped with Stazon pigment onto white shrink plastic.

The frame is our new Christmas Frames stamp by JudiKins.

All sentiments are from the Christmas Sentiments Clear Stamp Set.

The Christmas Frames is featuring in our show on Hochanda this Saturday at 1pm.

Paisley in Amazing Glaze

I don't think I shared this with you which is one of my TV demonstrations from a couple of shows ago using our Paisley background and Wavy Words clear stamp set.

I covered a Twinchie with clear embossing ink and 3 layers of Amazing Glaze and then 2 layers of Gold Embossing Powder.

I inked the Paisley background with a black ink and stamped into the hot Embossing Powder and left to cool for a minute.  I did trim off a couple of overhanging edges.

For the background I coloured the card with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide and then stamped the Paisley Background in the same ink.

Pear Tree on Shrink

Debbie Dickson has stamped our Partridge in a Pear Tree in green onto a coloured textured card and then stamped the same image onto white shrink plastic.

So you can see how small the shrink plastic goes once heated.

Not only does this card from Irene Carolan contain the Peeking and Praying Angels and Old World Snowflakes it also includes the Holly Border that will be in our Hochanda show on Saturday 8th August.

Bauble Wreath with Diamond Glaze

This is the Bauble Wreath card I made on our previous TV show

I stamped the wreath in black and then chose 3 green pens and coloured the circles.

I then stamped the fir branch and holly with a green ink pad.

In the Bauble Wreath stamp set is a stamp with 3 tiny dots - I used this in red for berries.

And then stamped the lightbulb in a selection of colours before colouring with Diamond Glaze.

I added the bow on a foam pad to finish.
