Stamps by Judith from Harrogate
As promised this is some of the artwork that Vicky was creating at Harrogate last weekend, apart from the Large Dorky Bird which is one of Lesley's creations.
Unfortunately our website is still not operational yet but they are working hard to fix the problem and get us back online.

Stamp Addicts Website
Apologies to anyone that has tried using our website since Saturday. Unfortunately there appear to be some server problems which our web guys are working on but haven't managed to fix just yet. Please bear with us and it will be up and running again soon.
On a different matter, did you come to Harrogate this weekend? Wasn't it a busy show! We had a great time and will definitely be going back next year.
As soon as we unloaded the van this morning (that being the royal 'we'), we started preparing for Ally Pally (I hate this abbreviation but can never stop myself using it). Don't forget if you are coming to the show and there is something you definitely want to get call us before Friday and we can make sure we take what you need.
I tried scanning in some artwork to upload to my blog but we got this fantastic new printer & scanner and I can't remember how to scan in the images. The rep is dropping by tomorrow so I will make sure I get a refresher course (they only showed me just over a week ago).
Sorry if this is a bit disjointed but we didn't get back from Harrogate until nearly 10pm last night so I am shattered and looking forward to an early night.

Harrogate
Well, I think we are ready for Harrogate. We will be leaving this morning to make the 3+ hour journey to hopefully get there just after lunch.
We had a big delivery of Stamp by Judith yesterday as well as some more Zutter R-10 Corner rounders and the new Suze Weinberg Stickles glitter glues - extra sparkly!
We also had a delivery of papers from Adornit but the Christmas ones I ordered are not available yet. It would seem that most manufacturers are not releasing new Christmas papers until October which seems very late for all the cardmakers. Are they not thinking about the cardmakers? I know in previous years we have always complained that Christmas was starting earlier and earlier, maybe because Summer was a non-starter this year we are now looking for the festive cheer that it seems will elude us until at least the middle of October.
Perhaps a little sunshine would help! We have had the odd sunny day recently but I tend to miss them and only discover it has been warm when I get in my car to come home.
Talking of getting in my car - if you visit our store you will now find some alterations have been made to the big Swan roundabout on the A421, don't worry just drive between the cones and you will get to us. This roundabout is being made into a longabout (?) and they have also added an extra roundabout between the 2 we already had, so there are thousands of cones. I have noticed that they do tweak the positions of these cones as they complete new bits of road. So the mass of cones does look confusing to some but it is easy enough to navigate. We are told works will be finished in 2010.
I know I have not posted up any artwork for the last week or two but the new DT assignment is due back to us soon as we are filming the new show in early October. I have also started work on the next Mini-Mag which will have lots more Stamps by Judith artwork as well as the new TV show.
I could steal some of the artwork Vicky made at the last show and what she makes at Harrogate and try and post this up early next week - I'll see what I can do.
I guess it is time to stop waffling and get ready for Harrogate - hope to see you there.

September Happenings
Firstly, congratulations to Margaret - winner of the gold leaf challenge, fabulous card Margaret.
Secondly, this weekend we will be at the Great Northern PaperCraft Extravaganza at the YEC in Harrogate. Vicky will be demonstrating with the new Stamps by Judith so please come by to see what she is up to and look at all the artwork that will be on display.
Thirdly, also on this Saturday will be our new TV show 'Spirit of Christmas', just in case you missed it the first time. It should be on 10am Saturday morning, so if you are coming to the show remember to set your Sky+.
And finally . . . . . well I haven't waffled on for ages and to be honest tonight I'm too tired, last Tuesday was the final episode of Private Practice so tonight there was nothing on after 10pm so I am calling it a night and am going to try and get to sleep early. I will be back in a day or two to fill you in on some more goings on at Stamp Addicts and the new product arrivals.

Metal Leafing Challenge
A new challenge for you. Hopefully you have been inspired by our new 'Spirit of Christmas' show and the all the wonderful artwork supplied by our design team so now I challenge you to make a card using metal leafing.
It doesn't have to be Christmas, you can have any theme you fancy as long as you incorporate the metal leafing somewhere.
The deadline is Monday 15th September and the prize is 2 packs of variegated leaf 1 x red, 1 x blue (6 sheets in each pack).
The usual rules apply, good luck.

Sale Day
Saturday 6th September is our SALE Day, everything in the classroom will be 40% off so come and have a look and see what you can't live without.
Also on Saturday is the first showing of our new TV show Spirit of Christmas on Create & Craft so if you are coming to the store remember to set your video (does anyone still have videos or do you all have Sky+ boxes?). I will be posting up the design team artwork over the next week and then next week there will be a new challenge.
Hope to see you Saturday.
P.S. There is going to be a road closure near the store on Saturday only, hopefully they will put a diversion in place but call us if you need directions.
