A Cracking Background

A card Vicky made using our A Cracking Background stamp.

Firstly Vicky created an oval mask using Eclipse Masking Tape, then she stamped with A Cracking Background before removing the mask and stamping Happy Birthday.

Scratch Lines Background

If you watched the show on Hochanda you might have spotted this card.

I used our stylized Butterfly, embossed in black on a Scattered Straw background

Layered onto a Tattered Rose background and stamped with Scratch Lines in Scattered Straw.

The base card was a white creased card, coloured with Scattered Straw and stamped with Scratch Lines in Tattered Rose.

Inkpads are the latest Distress Oxides available in store.

Stained Glass Window

I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite cards from the last few years, over the next few days.

This stamp was designed by Lesley Crawford, the stamp is our Bethlehem Stained Glass rubber stamp which you can find on our website here.

The stamp is embossed in black and then coloured with some watercolours or you can use water based inks and paint on.

On the black card is our Stars Background stamp.

Shrink with Brilliance Inkpads

Did you know you can stamp your background stamps on shrink plastic with Brilliance inkpads

and once shrunk the ink is dry?

I stamped our Italian Marble with Aurora Brilliance and then stamped over with our Scientifically proven sentiment stamp in black stazon.

The shrink was die cut with a fancy label die first.

White shrink plastic.

The background layer of the card is stamped with the same stamp and inkpad.

Lucy's Butterflies

We are on HOCHANDA TV today at 12 noon.

These are our new Lucy's Butterflies - you can find them here.

The background is our Cherry Blossom Background stamped and embossed in Chablis embossing powder.

Here the butterflies have been stamped in Stazon onto clear shrink plastic and coloured with alcohol inks.

Intaglio Shrink Plastic

This is Shrink Plastic Intaglio style.

Intaglio is to engrave an image into the shrink which Vicky has done here by stamping into the hot shrunked plastic.

Vicky will be demonstrating this technique in our show on Hochanda TV tomorrow at 12 noon.

Sneaky Peeks

We've been working on quite a few new stamps recently.

Here is a sneaky peek at a couple of them.

Foxy Penny Slider

For this penny slider Vicky shrunk Felix the Fox and glued the shrink to a penny.

With the Tumbling Fox Border she coloured and cut them up to have them appearing in between the autumn leaves.

A stack of Llamas or Alpacas

Vicky created this card and used some Eclipse Masking Tape.

Liliana, Cactus Set and in the background the Cactus Border

all coloured with pens.

Vicky designed all these stamps and Liliana can be either Llama or Alpaca,

depending on your preference.

Daisies

I created this card using our new Daisy stamp and some Eclipse Masking Tape.

I made 2 masks of the daisy - remember when creating your mask to cut off the stamped line so your mask doesn't create a shadow effect.

Coloured with Nuvo Glitter Pens.

Black pen border with one of our new Fine Liner pens

Floating away . . .

Did you see our new set of Essential Pens?  3 x black fine liner pens in 3 different sizes plus 2 white permanent pens in 2 different sizes.

Here Vicky used one of the black fine liners to draw the strings for the balloons.

Fox Wobble

Felix the Fox is quite adorable, here I have put his head on a small wobble.

The background is our Solid Heart background stamped and embossed with Sticky Stuff and covered with mica powders.

Sticky Stuff

We love our Sticky Stuff Embossing Powder from JudiKins.
The background is our Italian Marble background stamp with Sticky Stuff and then I applied Mica powders.
I used the same technique with the Daisy.
I've taken photos at different angles so hopefully you can see the texture.

Herd or Flock ?

Apparently it is both for Alpacas herd and flock.

Apparently a group of Llamas is also a herd

But this is information I have gathered from Google so don't take it as gospel.

You can't really see the background but the Cactus border is stamped in brown onto the brown card.
