Sorry

I'm sorry I've been a bad blogger this week. Yesterday I came down with a bug, I made it through the day at work and then came home and went to bed at 5pm. I popped in to work this morning to get some things finalised and then came home and was in bed by lunch time. I've just had a little bit of ice cream to try and soothe my throat but what I really fancy is some nice cold custard!

I'm hoping in the morning I will be feeling much better as we have StampMagic in Doncaster this Sunday and we've still got lots of preparation to do.

I do still have lots of artwork to share with you from the Kokeshi Doll show as well as plenty more snowglobes. I will upload them as soon as I can.

Now, back to my bed and my hot water bottle.

New Christmas Show

On Wednesday after we had finished the live filming of the Kokeshi Doll show we then filmed a couple of pre-recorded shows. The first being a new Christmas show.

Peeking & Praying Angels + Layered Frames stamp and Snow White Glitter = Shaker Card.
Peeking & Praying Angels + PopBlocks = Pop-up card.

Snowy Tree in the background, stamped with a Carribbean Blending Blox.

Peeking & Praying Angels, Merry Christmas Copperplate and some Eclipse Masking Tape clouds, stipple over masked clouds to create background.

Kokeshi Flop Book

In store today is our demonstration day so we hope you can come and join us.

This is the front cover of my Flop book where I started with Flirty girl in the middle, I then masked her and stamped Lucky Cat and Dancing Girl. I then masked them as well and stamped China Girl and Bunny Hug. These were also masked before I stamped the Weeping Willow. I stippled some clouds using more Eclipse Masking tape. I coloured the dolls using Chalk Pencils.

The background is the Weeping Willow stamped in Versamark and then when dry I covered with a light purple inkpad. I then stamped the Japanese background stamp using a dark purple inkpad.

The fans have been stamped with a dye based inkpad and then coloured with a waterbrush from the same inkpad.

The page of China Girls was created using Eclipse masking tape.

Again the Lucky Cat page has been created by using lots of masks. and the fan page was created in the same way as the previous fan page. Paper Cord added for embellishment.

Kokeshi Flap Book

If you watched the show on Create & Craft on Wednesday you would have caught a glimpse of the books that we decorated. This is Vicky's Flap Book. The front image has been layered onto vellum which was then stitched to the book with a Paper Cord. The whole book has been bound together with Paper Cords.

Flirty Girl, Qbit flowers have been stamped onto the wavy vine to create blossoms.

Japanese background stamp has been stamped with versamark onto glossy card and then Blending Blox multi coloured inkpad wiped over the top to add the colour. The chop has been stamped into Amazing Glaze to create the faux wax seal.

China Girl and Dancing Girl, Weeping Willow and Japanese background stamps.

A painted heart has been outlined with a paper cord. The weeping willow is embossed in copper twinkle, Bunny Girl. Sky and grass has been created with Eclipse masking tape and stippling colour.

Weeping Willow has been been stamped in Versmark onto glossy card. When dry it has been covered with dye based inkpads and then buffed with a piece of tissue.
