Nikki & Jane

A couple of the finished mirrors from the retreat, as you can see Nikki & Jane are also wearing customised aprons as this was their first task of the weekend - to decorate an apron.

Our Retreat

Well, I'm home but certainly not recovered.
This is one of the projects from our retreat. This one was a collaboration between myself and Vicky.

This one is all Lesley's work.

Both include lots of stamping onto EcoArtboard, acrylic and alcohol inks, using Tranz-It onto Canvas, shrink plastic and Melt Pot Art.

Everyone created such different artwork and this weekend I remembered to take photos, so I apologise if you were on the weekend 2 weeks ago, perhaps you could post up a link to your mirror here so we can all see your wonderful creations.

I will post photos of mirrors from this weekend over the coming days.

Country Pick-Up

VW Beetles

This is the Printworks Beach Cruiser with a small Frazzled Cat inside it.

This is the same Beach Cruiser on some lovely MLSB flowery papers.

And finally this is the small version, the VW Bug with a little Puppy stubby inside.

Ponytail Girl

Some more artwork from our recent Kokeshi Dolls TV show. These all feature Ponytail Girl by JudiKins. These also feature the Nellie Snellen Multi Frame Dies in Oval and Square.

All coloured with the Niji Pearlescent Watercolours paints.

The Japanese Background was stamped onto the vellum using the new Metallic Copper Stazon.

Retreat

Well, our retreat this weekend was great fun, completely exhausing but great fun.

Unfortunately I can't share anything with you yet as we are repeating it all again next week, but after that weekend I will be able to share some of the artwork with you and the fabulous new JudiKins stamps that we saved to launch at the retreats.

New Stamps from Printworks

We've had some new stamps from Printworks and here is some of the artwork Lesley has created.
This is the Beach Cruiser with a Surfboard tucked inside.This is the new Country Pickup stamp.
And this is the new Made For Comfort chair stamp, featuring a Stamps by Judith Ragdoll.

More TV Artwork

This is the JudiKins Weeping Willow with China Girl and Bunny Hug - by Vicky.

For this card I used Japanese background, Weeping Willow, Flirty Girl and Nellie Round die. For her parasol I stamped it on black card and coloured with Pearlescent watercolour paints and stuck with foam pads for dimension.

Vicky reproduced this card in the show. Embossing the tree in black onto black card and then giving the card a wash with the Pearlescent watercolour paints. Big Hug was stamped and coloured on white card and then again on black card and the kimono was cut out and layered on top.

New TV Easel Cards

This is the card that Vicky made on TV using the Nellie Eastern dies. The larger piece was coloured with the inkpad used to stamp the background so that they would co-ordinate. This is Dancing Girl with Japanese Background.

This is Big Hug on the Round Nellie dies, 2 of the same shape have been overlayed.

This is Bunny Hug on the Eastern die with the Japanese background.

New TV Show

These are the 2 cards I made on our new TV show which is on Saturday at 2pm. I cut the aperture with the Nellie Snellen Eastern Die and Flirty girl is attached to a smaller Eastern Die suspended on pink elastic.
The Flower was made from the Nellie punch and emboss sets. The greeting is JudiKins Happy Birthday.

For this card I stamped the Japanese background in Platinum Stazon and the Weeping Willow in Copper Stazon - these new Stazon are really really good. They look fab on acetate and shrink plastic.

The JudiKins Lucky Cat is on one of the Nellie Snellen Eastern Dies.

Dawn's Demo Day Artwork

Dawn Inskip created these delights for Demo Day using a selection of Nellie Snellen Multi Frame Dies with Crafts Too Embossing Folders plus the odd stamp . . . This is from the Eastern Dies set.
