Birthday Party

Our 20th birthday party kicks of Saturday morning at 10am and we will be partying (and demonstrating until 4pm).
The first 50 people through the door will receive a goody bag and everyone receives a raffle ticket for prizes that will be drawn throughout the day.

I do hope you will be able to join us and watch all the different demonstrators, they will all be using different products and different techniques so there should be something for everyone.

We have 20% off everything online as well as in store with some double discounts also available in store.  For the online discount enter Promo Code BIRTHDAY.

If you would like to join the party, grab a bargain and learn something new then pop in and see us between 10am and 4pm.

Best Witches

This is our brand new Witch on Broomstick unmounted stamp released yesterday.  Isn't she fun?
Lesley created this card by stamping the witch in Memento and colouring with Promarkers.  To create the background Lesley stamped the stars from our Dots & Stars stamp set in Galaxy Gold Brilliance.  'Best Witches' is made up from the Sea Dog Alphabet clear stamp set.

Made on TV part 4

This is the final card I made on TV last week using Crazy Birthday, Scenic and Trees.
The crazy man and dog are stamped in Memento and coloured with Promarkers, the scenery and trees are stamped with a Distress pad onto the white card and the green card.
I decoupaged the heads for extra depth.

Made on TV part 2

This is two cards that I made during our recent TV show, both originally by Lesley.
The first card is using our Owl be Yours set with FREE Solid Stars background, these are only available together for a limited time.

If you missed the shows on Thursday:
For the owl card I created a reverse mask of the moon and inked through it with Versmark and then covered with JudiKins white gold embossing powder.  After heating the powder I then masked the moon and stamped the solid stars over the rest of the card with Versamark and white gold embossing powder.  I then inked over the stars with distress ink to create the purple sky.  I stamped the owl onto a separate piece of card, coloured with promarkers and then cut out.

The second card is Jumbo which is currently available with FREE Daisy Background stamp.
On this card I stamped Jumbo with archival and heat set before colouring with Distress Markers and a waterbrush.  The layers behind Jumbo were coloured with co-ordinating Distress pads.
The daisy background is created by inking the stamp with several colours of Distress pads and then spritzing with water before stamping.

September's Project Club

This is the card I made in Project Club this week.  Original by Lesley
Our Townhouses stamp has been stamped in Versamark onto black card and then covered with mica powders.  The rest of the background was created the same way using the DeNami stamp Falling Snow.

For the centrepiece we covered a cardboard tile with Brilliance ink (to give it some colour) then covered with at least 2 layers of Amazing Glaze before sprinkling in some other embossing powders.   The final touch was inking up the stamp (you should always ink before placing into melted embossing powder) and stamping in to the final layer whilst still hot.

Balloon Flight

We did it, we went up in a hot air balloon.  This is something I have been wanting to do for years and it was so worth the wait.  We were lucky in that this was only our third attempt at a flight, previous ones having been cancelled because of bad weather.  Other people on our flight had tried 9 times in 2 years!

You cannot imagine how peaceful and calm it is up there.  I thought it might have been a little bumpy but I was soooo wrong.  If you closed your eyes you would not know you were moving.  I think the only thing that would stop you enjoying it would be if you were afraid of heights.

We travelled about 10 miles in an hour, mainly over fields and farms but for the last part of the journey we went over a little town and it was amazing how many people came out to see us, take photos, wave and even jump in their cars and follow us until we landed.

Our original take off point was supposed to be Knebworth but unfortunately they had an event so we had to move to a different location.  It would have coincided nicely with my wedding anniversary, 14 years this month and we got married at Knebworth.

In this photo we are all doing the Mo-bot!
