I can't believe it is taking me so long to get over this. Apparently I have had a really bad viral infection and it has completely knocked me for six. Over the weekend I have slowly started eating again and can move around the house more. I even made it into work today to pay the wages, but I had to come home again before lunch and go back to bed for more sleep. Even when I had my babies I didn't spend this much time lying around in bed.
There are so many things I want to accomplish this week I just don't know if I can. I am really close to finishing the catalogue (at last, I know) and we are also getting ready to send out the next lot of Design Team stamps and scrapbooking papers.
I've still yet to put the DT artwork up on the Stamp Addicts website. And next week is the Big Stamp & Scrapbooking show at Alexandra Palace.
Changing the subject - have you received these new card readers for online banking? I really don't understand how this makes things more secure. I had to use one for the first time tonight and at first it wouldn't work as I had forgotten they had sent me a new card. When I finally found the new card (which I now have to keep beside my computer so I can do online banking) I got it working, I put my card in and punched in the numbers it told me to. It then spits out a passcode which I enter into the website - voila! So what is to stop me writing down this passcode number for use next time? or if someone else is with the same bank will they have the same passcodes? Next thing we'll have finger print machines hooked up to our computers.
Its all just more stuff to clutter up my desk with.

White Easter
When they said we were going to have a white Easter, I thought it would be the normal 5 minute flurry of snowflakes that doesn't settle. But this morning I woke up to see a blanket of snow across everything. I don't remember the last time we had snow at Easter, but then I also don't remember the last time we had Easter this early. I was too slow to get a photo of the snow this morning, within a couple of hours it had all melted.
I now have complete sympathy with anyone that suffers from Migraines. Thursday I left work early to take to my bed as I thought I was coming down with the flu. But it then turned into a migraine and this morning was the first time I woke up pain free since Thursday. The only problem now is because I've hardly eaten in days I don't have the strength to get out of bed. I tried to take a shower, big mistake I should of had a bath instead. Standing in the shower drained me of the little energy I did have. It is obviously going to take me several days to get my strength back, meanwhile poor old Martin is running around after the kids and me.
Hopefully this was the first and last migraine I suffer with.

Home again
We got home from the NEC around 9pm last night. I still woke up at 6.30 this morning and here I am blogging! If I had any sense I would go back to bed and sleep for another hour or two, but the kids will be up soon so that is unlikely to happen.
My Earth shoes were brilliant. I wore them everyday at the show (probably a bit stinky by now) and my feet did not hurt at any time while I was wearing them, my heel does ache a little bit now (I've got my Tigger slippers on) but no pain throughout the show. It didn't stop other bits of my body aching but they're not miracle shoes!
So today we get to empty the van and put the stock away and try and figure out what we need to order before The Big Stamp & Scrapbooking show next month.
And I've got one page to finalise for the catalogue and then it can go to the printers - I know it has been a very long time coming but we are nearly there.
Nobody else in the house is stirring yet so I might steal another 10 minutes in bed.
If we get any good deliveries today then I will be back later to let you know.

Cool Stuff
I've created a new category on Stamp Addicts called Cool Stuff. These are all new products that have just arrived and they didn't really go in any of our other categories : Slide Mailers single and double, Domino Keepsake Boxes (Vicky has made a really cute one of these which I will post on Monday), Easy Grip Handles for acrylic blocks, etc.
Also, my new Earth shoes arrived yesterday. As soon as the postman delivered them I put one on and Julie tried on the other one so I had to wait 10 minutes for the full effect - but it was worth it. The pain in my heal disappeared immediately. They have negative heel technology which improves your posture and helps alleviate back and foot problems. Hopefully wearing these next week at the NEC I won't return home a physical wreck, yes I will still be exhaused -they're not that good!

Hobbycrafts @ NEC
Can you believe the Hobbycrafts show at the NEC is only next week! When did that sneak up on us? Now next week initially doesn't sound too bad but when I break it down we only have 4 days to prepare for the show and half the stock hasn't arrived yet. I'm not going to panic just yet, I'll leave that for Tuesday (last day in the office).
The good news is that our new TV show Flower Power will be on Create & Craft (channel 661) this Saturday morning and we will have all the stamps from this show with us at the NEC.
I would love to hear your thoughts on our new show and any suggestions you might have for future shows. I will be posting up more of the Design Team artwork later - didn't they do a fab job?
I really ought to get ready for work now, the sun is shining but I bet it is really cold out there.
Ooh before I go I must mention a new pair of shoes I have ordered, I am still waiting for them to be delivered but I have very high hopes for these shoes. They are 'Earth' trainers and are supposed to be wonderful for the posture and all kinds of problems in feet. As next week I will be spending 4 days standing at the NEC I hope they work, they are the most expensive pair of shoes I have ever bought so they better be worth it.

Stamperama
Well the van is loaded and we are preparing to go and set up Stamperama Stevenage ready for your buying pleasure on Sunday.
The doors open at 10am on Sunday morning, unless you have tickets (you might be able to get in a bit earlier) and close at 4pm.
This year we have 32 exhibitors in total, a few of which are new to our show like Stampin Up and Newlight Craft.
As always we will have the large seating area with hot and cold refreshments available.
We do hope you can join us.
